What Twitter Needs to Do Now..

Of-late twitter has started to “complicate” their ultra simple application. Nothing wrong with that! But from a layman consumer’s point for view they are not really doing the right things. Are they? The “lists” seem to be an interesting addition, but the new mode of RTs did not really go down well with the Beta testers.

This is what I would want twitter to adopt. Instead of lists, have pages with different sets of people sharing their timelines. Lets call them GROUPS. So you have one page with one group (say “Professional Network”), another page with another group (say “Celebs”), so on and so forth. So the different people you are following are slotted into categories, and are actually divided in parallel timelines.

This should help clear the clutter of diverse information one is now getting used to in Twitter. And make life easier for people who want to follow a lot of people but are scared to do so, because of having to browse through a saturated home page.
